Chaum’s original constructions produce single-use credentials, based on a primitive known as a blind signature scheme. Blind signatures are a variant of digital signatures, with an additional protocol that allows for “blind signing” protocol. Here a User has a message they want to have signed, and the Server holds the signing half of a public/secret keypair.
