Earbuds and headphones are so advanced these days that it’s hard to know where to look when buying a new pair. There are earbuds that monitor your heart rate, earbuds for sleep, and there are headphones that have unbelievable active noise cancellation. There’s also a new wave of open-ear designs. These are earbuds that sit just outside your ear rather than inside, letting you listen to music while still staying aware of what’s going on around you.
What I’ve learned is that the common mistake is treating isolation as binary. It’s easy to assume that if you use Docker, you are isolated. The reality is that standard Docker gives you namespace isolation, which is just visibility walls on a shared kernel. Whether that is sufficient depends entirely on what you are protecting against.
